SMITE SATURNALIA

SMITE, the battleground of the gods, it's about to land for the second time on the console market with their PS4 version. The third person, action oriented, gods punching MOBA is currently in closed beta on the PS4. Hi-Rez announced that SMITE will start its open beta phase on March 22nd, marking the end of one of the shortest closed betas in recent history. If you want to walk in the shoes of mythical creatures and legendary heroes but if you don't want to wait until the 22nd, you've got options.

While SMITE on PS4 is still technically in closed beta, it is really easy to get access to it. All you have to do is follow one of the many social media profiles of the game and get your access key here.

SMITE's PS4 version is proceeding much faster than the Xbox One version did (SMITE went in Open Beta on Xbox One after few months of closed beta). It's probably understandable since this is the second console release of the game so many of the possible design issues have been resolved during  the first time around. It's worth remembering, though, that Ymir's exclusive "C4codemon" skin can be obtained only during the closed beta period by purchasing the PS4 Founder's Pack for $29.99. So if you're interested in this skin, you better hurry up.

The PS4 Open Beta will start around the time of the second birthday of the title. Hi-Rez announced that both the events will bring sales, daily events and more with them, making late march and early april an interesting time for SMITE players. More info on said events are coming soon, so stay tuned.

Do you play SMITE on PS4? What is your opinion so far? Will you consider trying it out during the beta? Let us know in the comments.
