Monomi Park’s first person exploration game Slime Rancher will be leaving early access soon. The developers have recently announced that their game will fully launch on August 1st. This news comes after a big update-the last before launch day. You can watch the trailer for the new update below.
In Slime Rancher, Beatrix LaBeau leaves her home on Earth to try her hand at ranching out on the “Far, Far Range”. Using her vacpack she’ll collect various types of slimes to breed. A jetpack allows her to explore the vast and wild world. Scientific experimentation will create new breeds of slime and could be the key to your ranch’s success or demise.
The most recent update, v0.6.0, brought a new area along with other improvements to the game. Glass Desert is Slime Rancher’s biggest zone, populated by a variety of slimes to vac up there. Players can find the new varieties: Mosaic Slimes, Dervish Slimes, Fire Slimes and Tangle Slimes in the interesting environment. You can also explore the sweeping dunes and secret ruins the desert holds.
Watch out for firestorms while exploring the Glass Desert. Revive oases to reduce the frequency of these natural disasters and make your exploration safer. Along with the Glass Desert players will find a new skybox, new growing animations for crops, new gadgets, and more as a result of the recent update. New content is planned to be released after the game’s launch as well.
Slime Rancher entered early access in January of 2016 and is finally ready to fully launch. For those that have been waiting for the game to leave early access before buying the game, you can get the cute and imaginative free form ranching experience on Steam or Xbox on August 1, 2017.
