Pan European Game Information, or PEGI, recently announced the age rating for Slender: The Arival, confirming its release on Wii U and Xbox One and Playstation 4. The game's rating states that "The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 12 years and over only. It contains: Images or sounds likely to be horrifying."

The original freeware game was released on June 26, 2012 where it quickly gained attention from the Let's Play community. From there, it went on to become a fairly influential indie game in the horror genre. The game was re-imagined on October 28, 2013 for retail purchase, and now you will be able to buy it for current gen consoles.

Loosely based on the Marble Hornets webseries, you explore a number of ominous locations with only a battery powered flashlight to defend yourself, all the while stalked by the face-less Slender Man. The gameplay is much like the original eight page scavenger hunt, though the objectives vary from level to level. A new enemy has also been added in the form of a human stalker wearing a white hooded sweater.

Mark Hadley, the original game's developer, has teamed up with the Marble Hornets writers and the team at Blue Isle Studios to bring this horrifying title to life.
