Old-school FPS fans rejoice, a new game in this shooter renaissance looks to be in the making with the upcoming GOG.com timed exclusive, Project Warlock.
Project Warlock is a self-described FPS that "fans of Doom, Hexen, and Wolfenstein cannot miss." It has the iconic 2.5D graphics of the 90s shooter era, plenty of weapons, tons of blood and gore, and more. According to the GOG store page, it features:

- 5 worlds
- 72 enemies
- 38 weapons
- 8 spells
- 12 perks

Perhaps most surprising of all is not what is contained inside the game, but who made it. Project Warlock is developed by a single individual: Jakub Cislo. He's a 19 year old student, and Project Warlock is his labor of love.
If you can't wait to get your hands on the game for yourself, I've got good news - the game releases next week. October 18th, 2018, Project Warlock will launch first on GOG.

I can relate to developer Jakub Cislo. I'm 22 years old, so I didn't get to experience the full glory of 90s FPS games. I've played a fair bit of the most popular ones the past few years, including Hexen, Heretic, Shadow Warrior, and yes, Doom. I've been keeping an eye on games trying to relive the FPS glory days like AMID EVIL, and so I'm definitely interested in Project Warlock.
