The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim features a guild for every character build, but despite having a Bard's College, players are unable to take up a musical career. The newly-released Skyrim's Got Talent mod fixes that by allowing the Dragonborn to become the bard they secretly always wanted to be!

Created by Jayserpa (who impressively describes their entire mod in rhyme,) the Skyrim's Got Talent mod allows players to actually make use of the lutes, drums, and flutes that normally serve as low-quality vendor trash. Like with the other skills in Skyrim, your character's musical abilities improve with practice, but you can improve your skill growth by joining the Bard's College in Solitude or getting lessons from the various bards found around the realm. NPCs in the game will also react to your playing, and playing your tunes can give you minor 10-minute long buffs or debuffs depending on what instrument you use and how well you play.

In the traditional FAQ, Jayserpa explains that the bardic path isn't a build-defining mod, but is more of "another fun activity your character can do." It's not a huge mod that runs scripts in the background or touches your vanilla records, with the only main script being the one that plays the music, with the extra bits being dialogue fragments. The mod only activates when you actually play your songs, and each song lasts about 35 seconds, so those worried that this mod is heavy or complex don't have to worry about that.

You can pick up the Skyrim's Got Talent mod on Nexus Mods here. You need Shiholude's BA Bard Songs in order for this mod to work.
