One of the best parts of The Sims is all about building a home for your virtual friends, but you can only build so many massive mansions before it gets boring. The Sims 4: Tiny Living Stuff Pack takes things in the other direction, focusing on "tiny houses" and associated furniture.

If you're unfamiliar with the tiny house lifestyle, it's exactly what it says on the tin: trying to make the most out of a small space. Whether you live in a trailer or a purpose-built structure that's pretty small, the tiny living lifestyle is all about getting the most mileage out of every square foot.

Check out The Sims 4: Tiny Living Stuff Pack trailer to see some of the cool new stuff that's on the way:

A blog post about this new Stuff Pack has some more details. Players will be restricted to a footprint of only 100 tiles on a Tiny Home Residential Lot. There are some major upsides, though — you'll have lower bills, increased relationship gain, and a comfort bonus.

Of course, part of the challenge of tiny homes is trying to cram everything you need into as little space as possible. That will be helped along with the addition of a murphy bed (and a fair few related shenanigans), a combination stereo/TV/bookshelf, a combination loveseat/storage compartment, and other new pieces of furniture. You'll also be able to kit out your Sims with some sleek new clothing that best represents the simple life.

When Can You Get The Sims 4: Tiny Living Stuff Pack?

Okay, okay, so the Tiny Living Stuff Pack looks pretty cool — when will you be able to get it? Well, that depends on your platform.

Here are the release dates for The Sims 4: Tiny Living Stuff Pack:

  • PC and Mac: January 21, 2020
  • PlayStation 4 and Xbox One: February 4, 2020

As an aside (and perhaps by pure coincidence), Volume 2 of TIny House Nation will be debuting on Netflix just a few days beforehand on January 17, 2020. This show is all about people building tiny houses, kind of like a This Old House that you can park into a garage.

You'll be able to pick up this Stuff pack on its page on The Sims 4 website. If you don't yet already own the game, you can buy The Sims 4 on sale at the Humble Store for $9.99, a 50% discount as part of the EA New Year Sale along with a whole bunch of other neat games (The Sims 4 Expansions and Stuff Packs included).
