Announced during EA Play's 2020 presentation, the popular and iconic life simulation game The Sims 4 is available on Steam today. Additionally, we have a launch window for EA Access on Steam.
Along with many other games from EA's catalog, The Sims 4 will launch on Steam today with all of its DLC. This includes dozens of packs of various prices. The good news is, fans can grab these packs at a discounted price in addition to the main game. These deals last until July 9, 2020.
For those who missed it, today also saw the release of Titanfall 2, Dead Space 3, and A Way Out on Steam. Most, if not all of EA's most popular games from the past and now are on Steam at this point (or making their way there). You'll be able to play all of these quite easily and for a cheaper price if you get EA Access, which comes to Steam this Fall. Keep a lookout for this service if you're interested in any of these titles.
EA Access is a service that has been out for quite a few years now, originally with the Xbox One. This premium subscription service allows players to pay a fee to access a select catalog of EA-published titles and purchase them at a discount if you want them permanently. The service sometimes has timed "trials" for soon-to-be-released games.
Quick Take
Don't skimp on EA Access. As an impatient individual, I've used it to gain access to games before they release. I'll definitely be paying the small premium to try out Star Wars: Squadrons before it launches. And hey, it's good for trying out games you're on the fence about. $5 for EA Play saved me the $60 I planned to pay for Anthem!
