Get ready to dress up in style: The Sims 4 Fashion Street Kit has been announced and will be bringing all sorts of stylish Indian clothes to the life sim game when it launches in October 2021 on PC and consoles.
The Sims 4 is no stranger to DLC content. The "Summer of Sims" is coming to a close and we've already seen some pretty neat updates with the addition of group cooking and an overhaul to the Spa Day Pack. Now, another new piece of content is on the way that will feature some stylish Indian street fashion.
What is The Sims 4 Fashion Street Kit?
The Sims 4 Fashion Street Kit was created in collaboration with Indian fashion expert Shruti Sitara Singh and is based on the wide variety of wares that can be found in Fashion Street, a location in Mumbai with hundreds of vendors selling all sorts of cool clothing and wares.
New items added in this kit include henna, saris, nose rings, and more. This truly gets into the nitty-gritty of Indian fashion; for example, a new wrap skirt is inspired by the way that the Koli fishing community has traditionally worn its saris for hundreds of years.
"The Fashion Street Kit is inspired by a lot of India, and of course Mumbai," Singh explained in a news post on The Sims 4 website. "It’s inspired by the Indian handloom (weaving) industry, which is preserving and rendering a beautiful picture of our age old heritage, known worldwide for its richness and purity of its textiles. Each piece is adorned with lively colors and prints specific to different cultures, because Mumbai, the City of Dreams, is a melting pot."
When is The Sims 4 Fashion Street Kit Release Date?
The Sims 4 Fashion Street Kit release date is October 5, 2021, for PC and consoles. No price has been announced, but odds are it will launch at the same $4.99 price point that all of the other The Sims 4 Kits are at.
