Today EA has announced the new  The Sims 4 Cottage Living Expansion Pack for the latest entry in their popular life simulation franchise, The Sims 4. Centered around the quintessentially British countryside village of Henford-On-Bagley the expansion appears to focus on a more rural side of everyday life.

Showcasing a number of the activities that will be available in this newly announced location, the pack will likely bring the long-awaited addition of farming, and contains a number of adorable animal companions. From the expected rabbits, foxes, and chickens to the somewhat bizarre inclusion of llamas and clothed robins. Cottage Living is set to fit right in with the more quirky and offbeat tone of most Sims expansion in spite of its focus on a more conventional setting.

The trailer also demonstrated a number of the pastimes that will be occupying players away from the farm, including local village events like vegetable competitions, cross-stitching and woodland exploration. Whether you’re making new friends in the town, decorating the exterior of your dainty cottage with the newly included pond creation tools and rural themed items or even just relaxing by the fireside in the evenings, it looks like there will be a lot in store for players to discover in Henford-On-Bagley.

The Sims 4 Cottage Living will be launching on the 22nd of July at the standard Expansion Pack price of $39.99, players who purchase the pack before September 2nd will receive three additional digital items as an early purchase bonus. These include a quaint new bicycle to help you ride around the scenic town in style, an amusing garden gnome statue, and a serene fairy-tale-inspired tree for your backyard.
