shoestring gaming dawn of the deals

Once again it's time for Shoestring Gaming, a compilation of some of the best deals on awesome games so you can play more and still have enough for a Pumpkin Spice Latte, or whatever it is people buy besides video games. These deals are primarily for PC, but we also include deals specifically for consoles as well. As always, clicking some of these links also helps out TechRaptor. If you know of any more deals besides the ones below, make sure to share them with the community here and pass on the savings. Or, if you take advantage of any deals, let us know in the comments.

First on GreenManGaming, a sale on all Devolver Digital titles. If you are anything like me, you probably love Devolver, and now you can get almost their entire library for up to 75% off. Including Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number for 25% off (rated Good by TechRaptor), Titan Souls for 50% off (rated Very Good by TechRaptor), or not one but four copies of Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition for 75% off, so you can share with your friends. And who doesn't want to share the gift of Duke Nukem?

There's a few more sales on GreenManGaming as well. There's the Tommo developers sale, featuring games like Age of Enigma: The Secret of the Sixth Ghost and Crazy Chicken (which is only fifty cents and is all about shooting chickens). You can get up to 80% off games by the developer Aldorlea, which are primarily traditional top-down roleplay games. Up to 75% off packs for EVE Online, including the Core Starter Pack and get access to the free 14-day trial. And 25% off the new game Discstorm. You can also pre-order the upcoming horror title The Park for only $10, and if you're a member, go check out their VIP page for deals on AAA titles including The Witcher 3 and Dark Souls II. If you are a GreenManGaming member, this may also be a good time to use any credits you have saved up, as GreenManGaming will be retiring their current credit system on November 24th. If you want to get 22% off your entire purchase, you can use the code WINTER-ISCMNG-22PERC until October 26th.

Dropsy 1
All Devolver games come with a free Dropsy hug.

So that was a lot of information, let's move on to GOG. At GOG you can get the brand new Rebel Galaxy for 10% off—this game was just released on October 20th. Death to Spies: Moment of Truth is 60% off, and you can also get the original Death to Spies as a package deal for 38% off both games. The big weekend deal this time is a mishmash of titles, literally called the Mishmash Promo, featuring a variety of very old school games ranging from strategy to adventure, and a pinball game. Also, you can get Tales from the Borderlands right now for 25% off.

At GamesRepublic, make sure to check out those Monster Sales. The big one this weekend is Surgeon Simulator + I Am Bread Bundle, or if you prefer, the Rage Games for Beginning YouTubers Bundle. You get both games plus some additional content, and you save a bunch of money to replace your monitor for when you through your controller through it. Among the other titles in the Monster Sale lineup are Thief and Call of Juarez: Gunslinger

And you can now take advantage of the October sale at TechRaptor's own GameFanShop—everyday low prices. I can't list the sales, because everything is on sale there all the time. Use the code Raptorean. Get even more off.

Thief Pickpocket
These prices are a steal, GET IT?

Did you know there's a new Fallout game coming out? I know the marketing hasn't quite been on point enough, so it may have slipped your mind, but in case you're in that, Steam has a sale on Fallout titles that'll blow your socks off. It is Fallout Weekend over at Steam, which means you can get up to 66% off classic Fallout (you can also pre-order Fallout 4 if you haven't already, but Steam probably won't send you a pair of cool socks). This includes Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition for $10, and you can get all the classic Fallout titles for another $10. But, Steam has more weekend deals than that. Adult Swim games are right now up to 75% off, including Duck Game. Or you can get the entire collection for 34% off. That's 12 games for $39. And the biggest sale this weekend in terms of the number of titles is the Codemasters Sale. Get bundles for F1Overlord, Operation Flashpoint and a ton of individual titles. You can also get South Park: Stick of Truth for 75% off right now. Also, not a huge sale, but if you're interested in making your own games, RPG Maker MV was just released and is 10% off on Steam currently. And you can always peruse the Steam Specials page for every single discount available, of which there are hundreds.

Fallout 4 Radiant Base Attack
Now when nuclear winter hits, you'll never run out of things to play.

Onto consoles: Xbox attempted to play with my heart by suggesting they had a horror themed sale, but it included neither sales nor horror games, so nice try Microsoft. No the real sale is on The Swapper for all Xbox users, and for Gold members, some deals on Saints Row and Fallout titles, among others. Playstation doesn't play with my heart, and has a real October themed sale, with actual discounts. Sale of the Dead features many spooky titles, even beyond zombies, including Alien: Isolation, Outlast, and Organ TrailThank you Playstation, for supplying the world with some good spoopy discounts.

Alien: Isolation
All Sale of the Dead games come with a free Xenomorph hug.

Make sure to check back next week for all new sales, and make sure to keep your eyes open and share what you find with your fellow raptors.
