Welcome one and all to Shoestring Gaming, where we lay out the best deals of the week for readers who want the best games without having to pay for them. New this week is a review of some of the best free indie games for those who already spent their game budget on season passes for Metal Gear Solid V, alongside the best deals across the Internet. Keep in mind that some of these deals are only for a limited time. TechRaptor bears no responsibility for any financial difficulties that may occur as a result of overindulgence.

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
Witcher 3 is half off at Green Man Gaming.

Green Man Gaming has a very special deal this week, offering all users a voucher for 23% of their purchase. Go to the front page and click that link to get your voucher and then have fun. This voucher is only good until August 21st, so don't wait. Also on Green Man Gaming, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt is still half off. If you haven't picked up your copy, that deal will probably be going away soon (Update: The 23% off voucher can't be applied to the existing Witcher deal). Also on sale is Civilization: Beyond Earth - Rising Tide DLC and Just Cause 3 at 10% off. If you are a VIP you can also get discounts on games like Grand Theft Auto V, Life is Strange, and Pillars of Eternity.

At TechRaptor's Games Republic, there are several games in their Monster Sale tab. In the regular sale column, In Verbus Virtus is 33% off but only for the next day, so grab it while you can. You can also pre-order Act of Aggression for 15% off, which will also give you access to the multiplayer beta.

Bundle Stars is offering the entire Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor collection, including all DLC, for $23.99, as well as the Guardians of Middle Earth bundle. As always there are a variety of other highly discounted bundles, including the F.E.A.R. bundle for $5.99, which includes every game plus DLC.

Speaking of bundles, Humble Bundle, as always, is a great place to get a deal while also giving a little bit back. This month's Humble Bundle features games that have versions on Android and PC and you can get both versions of each game, including Neverending Nightmares and Crowntakers. Proceeds for this month go to the Electronic Frontier Foundation or the American Red Cross.

This week on TechRaptor's Steam Curator list, you can get Dead State: Reanimated for 50% off, the highly rated Kholat for 35% off, or Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 4 for 33% off. Don't trust our opinion? There's a lot of other deals to choose from, such as the indie puzzler Ichi, for only $0.49. So sell some Steam Cards.
