The World of Darkness universe has gotten plenty of attention as of late, with tons of recent announcements promising new games. Another game taking place in this universe is coming out of the shadows with the reveal of a Vampire: The Masquerade battle royale.

Sharkmob unveiled their first project recently. Right now, there isn't a title for this game, but we know that it's a battle royale set in the classic Vampire: The Masquerade IP. A gritty, bloody new cinematic trailer gives us a glimpse at the game, although it doesn't have any gameplay footage.

As you can see, the trailer features vampires armed to the teeth with melee weapons as well as guns. Taking place in the Czech Republic—the city of Prague, specifically—it looks like players will be able to climb buildings and leap from rooftop to rooftop solo or with fellow vampires. The goal is to be the last one standing, since this is a battle royale, but that's all the information at present, other than a small blurb on the main website:

Choose your playstyle, go solo or together, battling rivals and the hostile Entity who’s hellbent on exterminating all vampires. Use your supernatural powers, weapons and blood to become stronger in order to hunt, fight and survive the night.

Behind this new battle royale is a fledgling studio, and this will be their first game. Located in Sweden, Sharkmob is a studio completely owned by Tencent. The Chinese company acquired Sharkmob in 2020. According to Sharkmob's website, the studio also says they are working on two more titles, so there could be more announcements in the future.

Although we only have a cinematic teaser and sparse information, this battle royale is set to release in 2021. By then, you can expect a title, gameplay, and more information.
