ColePowered Games and publisher Fireshine have announced the Shadows of Doubt 1.0 release date, and it won't be long until the procedurally-generated investigative immersive sim arrives.

According to a now-deleted Steam news postShadows of Doubt is set for launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on September 26th, and as pointed out by Gematsu, it'll be accompanied by a major update that will add a bunch of new content as well.

No details have been released about the update yet, but since it's coinciding with the game's 1.0 release, it's safe to say it'll be a pretty substantial one. If you've put down Shadows of Doubt while you wait for it to get a bit more fleshed out, this might be your time.

Shadows of Doubt is getting a 1.0 release very soon indeed.

If you're not familiar with Shadows of Doubt, it's an investigative open-world stealth game with strong immersive sim elements. The game's setting is a "fully simulated sci-fi noir city of crime and corruption", and it's your job to take on cases and investigate the deeds of the city's inhabitants, who have fully-realized schedules.

Since the city environment is procedurally-generated, the layout is unique for each player, and you'll have to sneak your way into apartment buildings to find emails, track suspects, and discover evidence to help you solve your cases.

Shadows of Doubt first launched in April last year, which means it will have been in Early Access for around eighteen months when it arrives (notwithstanding any potential delays, of course). Its Early Access period was extended back in July last year in order to allow developer ColePowered Games to add more content to the game.

If you'd like to check out Shadows of Doubt before it launches, you can grab it right now on PC via Steam Early Access. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, as well as the PC's 1.0 launch, will follow on September 26th. Be sure to check out our preview of the Early Access version for a rundown on why you should keep an eye on this game.
