Today Grasshopper Manufacture announced that a remaster of the 2011 classic action-adventure Shadows of the Damned is coming.
No release dates and platforms have been announced, but we get a second reveal with an upcoming livestream set to air next week. The Grasshopper Direct will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the studio, and likely share more about its plans.
It'll air on June 14 at 9:00 p.m. PDT, midnight EDT, 5:00 a.m. BST on June 15, 6:00 a.m. CEST, or 1:00 pm JST, depending on where you live. This reveal was teased a few weeks ago, and it's nice to see that Grasshopper delivered.
You can check out the trailer below.
If you're unfamiliar with Shadows of the Damned, it was originally released in 2011 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Producer by legendary horror master Shinji Mikami and written by the studio's own boss Goichi "Suda51" Suda, it places the players in the boots of Garcia Hotspur, a demon-hunter trying to rescue his girlfriend who has been abducted by the lord of demons.
In case you've missed the news, Grasshopper Manufacture has been acquired by NetEase Games in 2021 as part of a rather massive shopping campaign enacted by the Chinese publisher. It's interesting to see that they're given leave to work on this kind of project, bringing back a classic game from their past.
