Today Eastasiasoft and Suzaku announced that the old-school survival horror game SENSEs: Midnight will be released on consoles in June.
Specifically, the game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S digitally, while only PS5 and Nintendo Switch are getting physical editions. Specifically, the Switch is getting a standard edition priced at $29.99, while both consoles are getting a limited edition at $39.99. Pre-orders will be made available on PlayAsia and the Limited Edition includes the game, a manual, a soundtrack CD, and anumbered certificate in a collector’s box.
If you're unfamiliar with SENSEs: Midnight, it's an anthology of sequels to Suzaku's Sense: a Cyberpunk Ghost Story, and it's a survival horror with old-school tank controls and fixed camera angle set in a dystopian cyberpunk version of Tokyo.
While it's a sequel, the narrative is completely stand-alone so you don't need to have played the original game to enjoy this one, who puts the player in the role of Kaho, a university student with a passion for the paranormal who visits her family in Japan. After she starts looking into a local urban legend, she awakens vengeful spirits that start pursuing her across a park in Ikebukuro.
