Sea of Thieves

It has been announced that the most likely crossover in gaming history is now real: State of Decay 2 and Sea of Thieves. OK, I kid, but the Blighted Galleon is both such a cool and unlikely thing that it makes it all the more notable in its very existence.

The Blighted Ship Set is available for those who want to purchase it, and it includes everything a proper pirate ship needs, such as its sails, flag, figurehead, cannons, capstan, hull, and wheel. There's also Collector's variants of the sails and figurehead. Apparently, each part of the ship is designed to specifically reimagine an "encounter with State of Decay's living dead in the world of Sea of Thieves", where there are also undead but not as... cartoony, I guess?

State of Decay 2 will also be including a Plunder Pack in their next update (called the Green Zone update), which will add four weapons, one new vehicle, two outfits, and two hats into the game. The will be made available to players by completing bounties at the Bounty Broker. The update will be out later this week.

If you want to get the Blighted Ship Set, be sure to get it at the Pirate Emporium. Both Sea of Thieves and State of Decay 2 are available on Steam, but unless you're dying to play them you should probably wait, as Steam's Summer Sale is just around the corner.

What do you think of this news? Do you think this is a good crossover? Have you already gotten the ship? Are you planning on getting it? Let us know in the comments!
