The developers of Sea of Stars at Sabotage Studio released another clip of their gorgeous pixel-art RPG.

The clip showcases cooking, which can be done at a campfire found along the way. We get to see how it's a fairly quick process, simply turning ingredients into the finished product of which you can select the quantity. The dish then provides a buff when consumed. While it's not shown, I imagine it works in tandem with fishing, which was showcased a few weeks ago.

You can check it below.

Sea of Stars is a prequel set in the universe of Sabotage's Studio acclaimed game The Messenger and it has been funded with a successful Kickstarter campaign that reached its goal in a single day. It'll release for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One on August 29, 2023.

This game offers retro-style turn-based battles with timed attacks and defense, tactical use of damage types, and more. The pixel art visuals are beautiful, with dynamic lighting and additional effects.

The story features numerous characters and arcs that you can explore through a "captivating journey". You can also perform side activities like fishing and minigames, including the in-game tabletop game "Wheels" played at taverns.

The music includes contributions from renowned JRPG composer Yasunori Mitsuda, though he didn't compose the entire soundtrack. You can read more about the score in our previous dedicated article from a few weeks ago, on top of another clip showing the "Artful Gambit" option intended to add challenge to the game.
