Set your sights to the stars and get ready to fight some evil empires. Mech action game War Tech Fighters is coming to consoles on June 27th.

War Tech Fighters sees players leading a squadron of rogue pilots and battling the evil Zatros Empire. The Empire has taken two human colonies, Hebos and Ares, and it's up to players to liberate their oppressed people. Over 30 missions give players the chance to battle the Zatros Empire across the galaxy and exact vengeance on their oppressors. You can check out a trailer for War Tech Fighters right here:

Gameplay in War Tech Fighters revolves around the titular War Techs. These mechs are highly customizable machines with three distinct core classes. The Hawk is a light, fast mech perfect for mobility. The Rhino is a slow, heavy tank that can soak up damage. The Lynx is a balanced body type that combines the strengths of the Hawk and the Rhino. There are more than 180 upgradeable systems and parts across all three body types. Players will utilize long-range weaponry for firefights, then pull off brutal execution moves in close range with devastating melee weapons. War Techs can also be customized with thousands of paint and livery options.

War Tech Fighters has been out for some time on Steam, but console players get a special bonus. The console versions of War Tech Fighters come complete with an exclusive War Tech set. The Archangel set comprises the Glory Sword and Redemption Halberd weapons, as well as the Faith Shield. This set is available from the beginning of the game. Naturally, the Archangel set can be customized and painted just like other War Techs.

You can pick up War Tech Fighters on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch from June 27th. It'll set you back $19.99 via those platforms' digital storefronts.
