ScavLab is an experimental sandbox testing platform built-in Scavengers, and developer Midwinter Entertainment has announced that it will be hosting its first massive player event on May 29, 2021. Players will be able to join the Scavengers ScavLab event on May 29 at 7 pm BST / 8 pm CET / 11 am PT by opening Scavengers and accessing the ScavLab mode from the lobby.
“This is an opportunity for players to get a first look at the unprecedented scale and gameplay possibilities of ScavLab,” says Josh Holmes, CEO and Co-founder of Midwinter Entertainment. “We’ll test features and gameplay ideas with up to 5,000 players in a shared environment - with the potential to host many more in future events. Our main goal is to make an experience that people want to join for the fun of it, and we’ll be trying out a lot of things with every ScavLab event as we aim to achieve that. We hope the community is willing to join us on this wild ride.”
Players will be able to take part in "competitive sports minigames, large-scale combat, as well as attend a live, digital AMA with Josh Holmes," which sounds interesting at least.
The event will take place after Scavengers' first major patch and final server wipe. Now players can "play for keeps", and long-standing members will be able to take advantage of Pioneer Rewards to thank them for their efforts to help development. If you would like to know more about the patch or the Pioneer rewards, be sure to go here.
If you are unable to participate in the event, you'll also be able to watch the Streams of the event on Twitch. If you want to participate, you can download it for free from Steam or the Epic Games Store. For more information, stay tuned to TechRaptor.
