We have seen the Sam and Max series before on PlayStation, but never have we seen the first episode on the platform. The Sam and Max Save the World PlayStation port will be released on September 29, 2022, for the first time ever.
Fans of the Sam and Max series know that the games have been out for some time on other platforms, such as Steam, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, GoG, and Limited Run Games. Sam and Max Beyond Time and Space was ported to PlayStation 3, but since has been made inaccessible to players. We have now discovered that the remastered version of Sam and Max Save the World will be launching to PlayStation platforms in late September. Why is this so cool? Well, basically, the remastered version has much better graphics, and that is key to immersion in any video game.
For those who may not know, Sam and Max Save the World Remastered is about a six-foot-tall dog named Sam, who sports a pretty dapper-looking suit and hat, that has decided on his own he wants to be a cop. While he isn't employed by the police department, that doesn't stop him and his trusty rabbit-ish sidekick named Max from fighting crime and taking down the bad guys. Now Max has an intense taste for chaos, which usually isn't a recipe for success when it comes to sniffing out the bad guys, but somehow they end up saving the entire world in the most hilarious ways possible.
Skunkape Games is extremely excited to bring this remastered version of the game to the players, as they state,
"This will be the first time Sam & Max Save the World (also known as Season One) will be on PlayStation. The series originally released episodically for PC in 2006-2007 as Telltale Games' first big project. As Telltale expanded to consoles in later years, Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space (aka Season Two) was ported to PlayStation 3, but the first season never made it to the platform -- until now."
