Later this year, players will be able to become a bartender in Crossroads Inn, a real-time management simulator set in an original fantasy world. Players will be able to build and manage their own taverns while their services become known throughout the land of Delcrys.
During the course of a six to eight-hour campaign, players will start as a bartender and forge their own path, even becoming a king. The game offers an endless sandbox mode where players will be able to build their own tavern, hire and oversee staff, encounter dozens of different characters, and research new recipes. Players will also be able to manage their own supply chain and special services as they strive to become the most renowned innkeeper in the realm.
Players will be able to fully customize their own taverns, from the walls to the floors. Choosing the best candidates for their staff, players will be able to teach them new skills and recipes, eventually making them masters in their chosen field. Bards, courtesans, and other notable characters will also appear, once the inn becomes known.
Should players desire, they can also import exotic ingredients from abroad. They will also have to negotiate for lower prices, guard their caravans, and gather information and rumors.
The game will also be composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz, the composer of The Witcher series, along with The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Hard Reset.
Crossroads Inn will release for PC, Xbox One, and Mac OS later this year.
I'm surprised that I've never really seen a bartending game that has been a mainstream success, especially as a management simulator. I'll definitely be waiting for this one.
