A UK-based retailer may just have let slip the release date for Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption 2. This is the first bit of new info we got on the game after the announcement trailer back in October of last year.
The Uk-based retailer Base published a store page for Red Dead Redemption 2, which is both Rockstar's new game as it's a long-awaited sequel for the open world game set during the final days of the Wild West in the American Frontier. The original game followed the redemption story of ex-outlaw John Marston on his quest to turn in his old gang members to gain amnesty for his crimes.
Red Dead Redemption 2 once again sends us to the American Frontier for another Wild West adventure. The original launch window provided by Rockstar Games back when the game was first announced was Fall of 2017, and the potentially leaked release date on Base's website supports that, with the website showing the game's release date September 26, just under a year after the official announcement from Rockstar. Whether there's any validity to this potential leak will remain a mystery until Rockstar Games decides to publicly confirm the release date. It is worth noting that ThisGenGaming did a look into Base's website and that for games with unannounced release dates they generally use the typical December 31st placeholder date.
The who, where and why of Red Dead Redemption 2 is a mystery at this point, with Rockstar remaining tight-lipped about the game's plot, characters, and setting.
