Just yesterday, a photo leaked possibly revealing that the next Call of Duty might include a remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The leaked image was blurry and didn’t reveal many details, but today, a much clearer image for the newest Call of Duty was leaked. The newest installment in the franchise, apparently named Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, will supposedly be launching with a remastered version of Modern Warfare, but only if you buy the Legacy Edition of the game.

Here’s the newer leaked image from Reddit

The newer image also sheds some more light on the possible remaster. The Legacy Edition for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will apparently be $109.99 in Canada, which is where the leak most likely came from. Based off of the price for the standard version of the game, the final price for the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare will probably be somewhere around $90 in the US. The leaked photo also states that the Modern Warfare remaster will include the entire campaign for the game, as well as 10 multiplayer maps. The game originally launched with 16 maps. Also, judging from the image, the remastered version of Modern Warfare will be a downloadable add-on for Infinite Warfare.

The leaked image also gives us some insight into the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The leak suggests that the game will be coming out November 4th of this year, just one day before the anniversary of the Gunpowder Treason and Plot.  Possible correlation? Probably not. The leaked image is also the first clear picture we have of the game’s box art. Judging from the futuristic helicopter in the background of the cover art, it seems that Infinite Warfare will take place in the future, but how far into the future is unknown.

Quick Take

Everything about this leak looks legitimate. The first image leaked was blurry and could have been faked, but this new image seems much more professional. To me, the remaster is all but confirmed by Activision at this point.

Also, I’m terribly sorry about that V for Vendetta joke. I just couldn’t help myself.
