The wide-spread rumors regarding the Mario and Rabbids crossover have come to a head, as what could be definitive proof (if accurate) has been leaked to the public.

The game, titled Mario + Rabbids Battle Kingdom, received a massive leak that has been compiled by Nintendo World Report. The leak saw several slides and key art of Mario and the Ubisoft Rabbids in action, as well as slides of information showcasing some of the basic details about the game itself.

Most of the information confirms the longstanding rumors from several industry insiders and journalists, that Mario + Rabbids is an SRPG that has a focus on exploration and tactical based combat. There are four major worlds, which are described as "twisted Mario worlds filled with references" and tons of puzzles and easter eggs scattered throughout.

Combat is weapon based, with Mario and the Rabbids using different guns and lasers to combat enemies. Up to eight characters are playable,  and the game will feature co-op multiplayer for two players at a time.

Each of the eight characters also has a different combat style, and utilizing their strengths and weaknesses also adds to the tactical options being touted for the game. Some of the options mentioned included the use of warp pipes, destructible cover, team jumps and dash maneuvers to go against enemies.

The game is being developed by Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan, not Nintendo, and will be an estimated 20 hours long, with a late summer release in August or September of 2017.  Both studios last worked on the Just Dance games and Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and have experience with the Rabbids franchise as well, with Rabbids Land on the Wii U.

Most of the details, again coming from the leaked slides, are below, courtesy of Nintendo World News.

Thus far, neither Nintendo nor Ubisoft have commented on the leaks, and with E3 just around the corner, it is very likely that the game will get a full showcase during Nintendo and Ubisoft's presentations at the expo.
