One of the weirdest games in the entire history of the medium might be finally approaching release. The release date for the highly anticipated Death Stranding by Kojima Productions was probably leaked by the PlayStation Taiwan Facebook page, as you can see in the screenshot below, with the release date set for November 8. The post has since been removed, but not before it was captured as a screenshot by Twitter user Nibel. The same user also captured a PlayStation Store page for the game, which you can see in the header. A couple of other users captured the same page, Troy Kaz and Wario64, who claims the pre-order will open today.

Nibel also captured a couple of still frames from PlayStation's Twitch channel yesterday. There are other tidbits captured by Nibel this morning, which you can see in the Twitter thread, such as the captured tweet from Italian journalist Antonio Fucito (whose Twitter picture features Kojima himself) also leaking the same release date. There's also a short loop of the vehicle from the game.

Jason Schreier of Kotaku speculated on the release date, saying that The Last of Us 2 was also planned for a Fall 2019 release, but apparently he just "heard it got bumped to early 2020, possibly February? Either way, wild final year for PS4." Considering that Sony is skipping E3 this year, as we reported last year (though Sony Music Entertainment will announce games at E3 2019), it's indeed a wild period as the console nears the end of its life cycle, and benchmark footage of the next PlayStation console is already being leaked, as we shared last week.

We still know next to nothing about Death Stranding, as the last trailer that was shown at E3 2018 was one of the weirdest and most baffling trailers of all time. Hopefully, if these rumors are correct and the pre-order period opens today we will get a new trailer that might make more sense. If so, expect to hear more here at TechRaptor later today.
