Rogue Company

Rogue Company has released its Arctic Shield update, which brings a new map, Glacier, a new Rogue, Sigrid, and more. Hi-Rez's cross-platform team shooter has also reached over 15 million players which at the very least means that there should be a lot more updates to come. The update is being released on platforms such as the Nintendo Switch PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

The new map is on a fully automated cable-laying ship called 'the Domain', and it has been hijacked by Jackal in the Arctic. It's now up to the titular Rogue Company to take it back, with the map featuring close-quarters combat, quick rotations, and "generous flanking opportunities."

Sigrid is a former member of the Jegertroppen, which is Norway's all female special operations force. Highly trained and motivated, Sigrid, is fearless and is a frontline combatant. Her signature ability is her Ballistic Shield, which she can deploy to block all incoming damage from the front.

There's also a new in-game event called The Frigid Haul. Players can unlock 12 free awards, which include holiday-themed skins, sprays, and a title. There's a spectator mode that was added to "better facilitate competitive play and the community based tournaments", and a new practice mode called Strikeout, where players can train against bots on the eight currently available Strikeout maps.
