It looks like Roblox isn't willing to let Fortnite be the only game/metaverse to hold concerts. The Roblox corporation, who have also premiered TV episodes on their platform, have announced the first "Listening Party," which will allow players to listen to an album's permiere within certain top-rated experiences/worlds and even interact with the artist themselves.

Announced this morning on Business Wire, the first Listening Party is being held over this weekend and features the American singer Moriah Rose Pereira, known professionally as Poppy. Riding high off of being the first solo female artist to get a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, she's releasing her newest album Flux today. "Roblox is a platform with endless possibilities and seemed like a perfect place to launch my new album," she said.

So what exactly is a Listening Party? According to the press release, music from Flux will be integrated into some of the most popular games/experiences. These include:

Collectively, these worlds/experiences have over three billion lifetime visits, and many of the games plentiful player count visit them daily. In addition to listening to her music, Poppy herself will be taking part in these worlds to play along with her fans and answer their questions. Her schedule can be found on her Roblox profile and group. Participating players can also score two free pieces of virtual merchandise (which the release calls "verch") that can be claimed from the in-game catalog. "Music is such a natural part of the way we express ourselves, entertain ourselves, and find connections with other people, and we want to keep finding new ways to make music more of an integral part of the Roblox experience," said Jon Vlassopulos, VP and Global Head of Music for Roblox. "Allowing Poppy’s fans to enjoy her new album Flux where they are already spending time with their friends seemed like a no-brainer, and our developers have jumped at the opportunity to participate!”

Poppy's Roblox Listening Party will be held this weekend.
