Ubisoft has announced that the Rainbow Six: Extraction release date and Riders Republic release date have both been delayed for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, pushing these games back 2–3 months apiece.
Rainbow Six: Extraction — formerly known as Rainbow Six: Quarantine — was originally planned to launch on September 16, 2021. Unfortunately, it looks like Ubisoft is going to need more time to get it out the door.
"We are embracing the opportunity to take additional time to bring this vision to life in the way it deserves in January 2022," read Ubisoft's announcement. "We are confident this will ensure Rainbow Six Extraction is the immersive, cooperative, and thrilling experience we set out to create, and the one you aspire to play."
Quite separately, Ubisoft's upcoming sports game Riders Republic has also had its release date delayed, although the delay, in this case, is not quite as severe.
"To ensure we can deliver the best game for all players, we've made the tough decision to delay our release date from September 2 to October 28," Ubisoft explained in the Riders Republic release date delay announcement. "This will give us more time to [fine-tune] the experience and give you another chance to jump in before launch and provide feedback."

When is the Riders Republic Release Date?
Thankfully, this delay isn't quite as bad — the Riders Republic release date is now October 28, 2021. That means gamers will have to wait almost two more months to play it.
