A user on Nexus Mods has restored the metro in Cyberpunk 2077 thanks to the power of modding. Their mod allows players to ride the metro, look down on the streets of Night City, and take in the high-density vista.

As players looked over what could have been with Cyberpunk 2077, some of them noticed that the city had the remains of a metro system. While the game does feature terminal points that act as a fast-travel system, that's normally the closest players get to actually riding the metro. However, a mod created by KeanuWheeze on Nexus Mods adds a fully-functional metro system with 19 stations and the ability to look out on the city in first or third person

When the Cyberpunk 2077 mod is installed, interacting with a Metro fast-travel point will instead take you to one of the 19 handcrafted stations where players can wait for the train. A map pin and some text in the bottom-right part of the screen will let players know where the next arriving train is heading. Once players board the train, it functions like any other vehicle in terms of camera controls and leaving the vehicle, with the added ability to change seats in first-person mode by toggling weapons. As they ride across the city, players can opt to enjoy the silence or turn on the radio to listen to their favorite tunes as they take in the bright nights of Night City.

You can download the Metro System Cyberpunk 2077 mod and find instructions on installing it here on Nexus Mods. The game itself is getting a major update next year along with free DLC for all platforms.
