During today's Nintnedo direct, it was revealed that one of the more interesting looking games to be released in the past few years will be getting a release on the Switch. Return Of The Obra Dinn is a mystery time-traveling thriller that oozes with aesthetic and captivating narrative gameplay.  In Obra Dinn, you are tasked with figuring out the mysterious disappearance of the Obra Dinn and what exactly happened on board.  Its retro meets modern visuals arent the only thing this game has going for it, in our review we stated that, "Return of the Obra Dinn shows there’s more to the medium than lurking the shadow of the seventh art and that it should aspire to something more ambitious and yet undiscovered." In short, we really liked the game enough to give it a perfect 10/10 score. If you want to know more about Return of the Obra Dinn then check out the review here.

We also awarded it one of our best games of 2018, so if you haven't had the chance to experience it yet, then this switch port might be the best way to play the game (If you wanted to you could even play it on a haunted pirate ship for maximum immersion). You can check out Obra Dinn and the other games we loved from 2018 in the video below.

The Return Of The Obra Dinn will arrive on the Switch this fall.  No word on price or if there will be any Nintendo Switch specific features, but we will update as soon as that information becomes available.

What do you think about The Return of the Obra Dinn coming to the Switch? Did you get a chance to play it back when it released last year? What do you think about the game's overall visual aesthetic and presentation?  Are pocket watches still cool? Let us know in the comments below!
