Blaster Master Zero will be heading to Steam on June 14th. The game was previously exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.

Developer Inti Creates announced the news at this year's MomoCon. The studio said that alongside Blaster Master Zero, it also wants to bring more of its console catalog to PC via Steam. We don't yet know exactly what that means or which Inti Creates games will find their way to Steam. We're holding out hope for Mighty Gunvolt Burst and Mega Man Zero, although the latter would, of course, need Capcom's approval. You can check out the Steam trailer for Blaster Master Zero below:

Blaster Master Zero is a reboot of Sunsoft's Blaster Master, which originally launched on the NES. The reboot casts players as Jason Frudnick, an adventurer who must rescue a creature called Fred. The game consists of side-scrolling levels in which players control the SOPHIA II tank, as well as top-down sections in which players control Jason directly. There are also light Metroidvania elements in the form of upgrades that grant access to previously inaccessible areas. For those who want to play together, there's a two-player mode which adds an aiming reticule controlled by the second player.

Earlier this year, Inti Creates released a sequel to Blaster Master Zero. No word yet on whether the sequel will be coming to Steam like its predecessor. Presumably, it'll depend on how the first one performs. If you're interested in Blaster Master Zero on Steam, you can wishlist the game right now. It'll launch with a 10% discount off its standard retail price of $10, so you'll get a dollar off your purchase. Still, that's not too shabby for a pretty darn good retro platformer-come-shooter reboot. Blaster Master Zero will launch for PC via Steam on June 14th.
