The popularity of the NES Classic Edition announcement has brought about a surge in marketing from other retro-console manufacturers. Sega is re-releasing their Mega Drive Classic Game Console in partnership with At Games with some new marketing, but more interesting is Innex's new entry to their Retro-Bit line of consoles, Retro-Bit Generations.
Previous Retro-Bit consoles have been designed with a focus on the more hardcore retro game community, as they were designed to read cartridges for what to play. The Super Retro Trio was their previous one and it could play NES, SNES, and Genesis games, but the issue with them is often related to the cost and availability of cartridges. The thriving retro scene has made retro games more and more popular and that runs into the limited amount of cartridges still around. The laws of supply and demand have led to an increased price, which has made it less appealing for those considering trying out some of these classic games via non-emulator means or getting more into the retro scene.
Enter the Retro-Bit Generations console, which aims to serve as an entry-level retro-console. By partnering with companies like Capcom, Data East, Jaleco, and IREM among others, they have been able to bring many classic games to the system. Instead of relying on cartridges like they do with the other Retro-Bit consoles, the Retro-Bit Generations console is designed with the games pre-loaded onto it, somewhat similar to how the NES Classic Edition handles it. The system will come with two retro-styled USB 6 button controllers, AV and HDMI ports, and an SD card slot for saving games or moving data to other systems.
While the NES Classic Edition comes with 30 games, the Retro-Bit Generations is able to blow that out of the water. While we don't have a full list of games, they are saying there will be over 100 games with a wide variety of titles. Here is the list of presently confirmed games:

- Captain Commando
- Kickle Cubicle
- Rival Turf
- Super R-Type

We hope to hear more about what games are coming out on the Retro-Bit Classics as we get closer to its fall launch. The price is also quite interesting, as it lines up with an MSRP of $59.99 US, much like the NES Classic Edition.
