THQ Nordic has announced that a Remnant: From the Ashes Switch port is in the works. The Soulslike shooter is headed to Nintendo's console at some point in the future, and unfortunately, that's all the information we have on a release date right now.
Per the official THQ Nordic Twitter account, Remnant: From the Ashes is coming to Nintendo Switch "soon". This news was accompanied by a brand new trailer for the game, which features gameplay captured on Switch hardware. It's looking pretty solid considering the Switch is nearing its sixth birthday. You can check out that trailer right here.
The trailer is pretty brief, but it does showcase Remnant: From the Ashes' Soulslike shooting on Switch, so you can look forward to playing the game on the go in the near future (assuming you haven't already checked it out on Steam Deck, of course). We get brief glimpses of the demonic Root and the hold it has on humanity, as well as some of the game's procedurally-generated environments and tense shooter combat.
Remnant: From the Ashes' presence on Switch probably shouldn't come as a surprise, given that the game racked up 2.5 million sales in its first year or so. A sequel, which is currently called Remnant 2, was also unexpectedly announced at The Game Awards last year, although that one isn't making its way to Switch. Instead, it's coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime this year.
If you're yet to try out Remnant: From the Ashes, you can pick it up right now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is also playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility. We don't have a concrete release date for the Switch version of Remnant yet, so stay tuned to TechRaptor for more information on that.
