Random Fighters is a puzzle and fighting hybrid game from Spanish developers Whootgames. Last week the game was released for certain European countries and this week it received an update. The game is only available for Android but the developers recently announced that the game is now available worldwide.

In Random Fighters players must use their memory and guessing skills to make attacks from a 5 X 5 grid. While the puzzles might seem random players will still have to use their wits to best their opponent. The goal is to beat the snot out of your rivals.

With pixel-art and Battleship-esque turn based combat Random Fighters is a truly unique mobile game. Play through the story mode or online vs. other players as you master the art of puzzle fighting. Players can create custom characters with skins and choose their favorite attacks to use in the ring, including brutal special attacks. Earn a unique in-game currency, teeth you punch out of your opponents skulls, that can be used to upgrade your fighter and their attacks.

"We believe in a fun, balanced F2P core idea, good for new players and hard-boiled veterans alike" said Alberto Pérez, Whootgames CEO. "We also believe in gratuitous violence. Certainly we're a bit sad about finishing and releasing Random Fighters, we'll miss the office daily fighting pit meet-up."

If players really want to test their skill they can play in survival mode to see how long they can last in battle. Random Fighters has several scenarios to fight in, achievements and a worldwide leader-board. More content will be coming for the game later.

Rated Teen and with a current rating of 4.5 on the Play Store Random Fighters seems like a uniquely violent mobile gaming experience to try. You can play Random Fighters worldwide but only if you have an Android device with 4.0 or later. The game is free to play. You can download it here.
