Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft's popular tactical shooter Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is about to enter its 8th year, and today the publisher revealed a cinematic trailer.

The trailer is quite dark, showing a squad falling head-first into a trap, albeit their fate is not revealed. Meanwhile, a mysterious operator from the organization's past pays an unwelcome visit to Harry "Six" Pandey, and things don't exactly go down nicely between the two.

You can check it out below and prepare for the reveal of the first season of year 8, which will happen tomorrow. Of course, you can expect full coverage of the reveal here on TechRaptor as it happens.

Of course, the trailer leaves us with more questions than answers, especially given its dramatic cliffhanger ending. Hopefully, we'll learn more tomorrow. It'll be interesting to see if the events showcased in today's trailers will contribute to a major shakeup in the story of the game or are more a matter of flavor. For now, we'll have to wait and see what is revealed with the new season.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege has been out for quite a while, and unlike its successor Rainbow Six Extraction, it has enjoyed great popularity among fans despite the slow start, contributing very consistently to Ubisoft's earnings.

The game is currently available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
