The creators of Absolute Drift are making a comeback. Developer and publisher Funselektor Labs gave fans attending the digital Escapist Indie Showcase event a look at Art of Rally. The title brings life to the rally cars from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The studio portrays them in a beautifully designed and artistic style, giving a unique spin on the racing genre.

The game offers players a career mode, taking them through a journey during the "golden years of rally." Art of Rally features over 50 iconic cars for rally enthusiasts to ride in and take corners as fast as they can. You get to race on 60 different rally stages across Finland, Sardinia, Norway, Japan, and Germany.

Speaking of handling corners, Funselektor completely overhauled handling from the car physics system present in their previous title, Absolute Drift. The studio believes the revamp will allow Art of Rally players to experience "a much more predictable and less punishing" car-handling experience.

Art of Rally promises to come out sometime during 2020 for PC. With plenty of time we have till it releases, feel free to check out the trailer below. Rally fan or not, you can sit back and appreciate the wonderfully designed world and cars.

What do you think of Funselektor's latest creation? Do you think the art style and beautifully drawn world brings a fresh experience to the racing genre? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below.
