Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Record

A mobile game for the popular anime series Puella Magi Madoka Magica has been recently announced by Aniplex. An official website and teaser trailer have been launched for the project expected to release in Spring of 2017. The website is in Japanese but some details have been translated over at Gematsu. Not much has been revealed about the project called Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record however, you can watch the short Japanese teaser below.

The game will feature five new magical girl characters within the same world as the anime, although the timeline has not been specified. Set in the developing city of Mihama, the magical girls will be drawn together there. Magical girl transformations and fantastical witch fighting is sure to follow but we can’t know for sure until more details about the upcoming mobile title are released.

Developer f4samurai is working on the project. Previous anime mobile games the developer has worked on include Hortensia Saga, a free-to-play RPG, and Ange Vierge, a collectible card battling game inspired by the physical TCG based on the anime of the same name. Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record will be available for both iOS and Android devices upon release and pre-registration is available on the official website.

The site also gives details about the music included in the game. The theme song is being performed by girl trio TrySail, a group that has been featured in the theme songs of anime’s like Classroom Crisis and High School Fleet.

Girl group TrySail will be performing the theme song for the game.
