On the front page of PUBG Lite's website a Service Termination notice has appeared, stating that PUBG Lite will be shutting down on April 29. If you didn't know, PUBG Lite is currently in beta testing and is meant as a less demanding PC version of the game, which is very strange. Why not just ensure that the system requirements of the game can support everyone if you want to make a Lite version of your game? Regardless, check out the announcement blurb below:

Dear Players,

We are deeply grateful for the passion and support from the astounding number of PUBG LITE fans that have been with us. During the strenuous times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we hope that PUBG LITE was able to provide our fans a fun way to stay safe.

Unfortunately, we have made the difficult decision to close service after much deliberation and the time has come for our journey to end. We regretfully inform you that service of PUBG LITE is scheduled to end on April 29th, 2021 (UTC).

The "termination schedule" will have the lite.pubg.com page closing on March 30, 2021 (UTC) time, and new download will no longer be available. On April 29, 2021 at 0:500 (UTC) the game will be taken offline, and on May 29, 2021 (UTC) player support for Lite will no longer be available for players.

Until the shutdown players will be able to play the game and spend in-game credits (L-COINS) as normal. If you have any inquiries to make about the game shutting down, you should go to their support page here
