PS4 Share Facebook content is reportedly being quietly deleted without any warning to users, a possible result of a falling out between Facebook and Sony late last year.
As with most modern consoles, the PlayStation 4 allows gamers to share their content via social media. This "PS4 Share" feature would let you upload screenshots or video to several different social media sites, including Facebook.
One month ago, a Reddit discussion (via DualShockers) noted that PS4 Share content on Facebook was apparently disappearing with no warning given to users. A more recent discussion has a couple of people indicating the same issue, and nobody appears to know why this is happening.
Why is PS4 Share Facebook Content Disappearing?
Sony had previously removed PS4 Share Facebook functionality (and other integrated Facebook features such as the friend finder) back in October of 2019. At the time, the support article detailed that players would essentially be unable to share new media content via Facebook from their PlayStation 4 console.
"PlayStation®4’s share features will remain the same, except Facebook will no longer be offered as a destination to share screenshots, videos, music, trophy details, or links to gameplay broadcasts," read the support article on the PlayStation website.
What the article didn't state, however, is what would happen with existing PS4 Share Facebook content. There haven't been very many reports from players just yet, possibly owing to the fact that no new PS4 Share content could have been added to Facebook for more than a year.
