The Nine Noir Lives release date has finally been revealed, which means point & click fans will be able to find out if the game is really the cat's meow on September 7, 2022. The game will place players in the investigative paws of Cuddles Nutterbutter, a private investigator with a taste for solving crime. His latest case might be his toughest yet, as he threatens to upset a tenuous relationship between the Montameeuw and Catulet crime families.
“Nine Noir Lives is a passion project we’ve been self-funding for several years now,” said William Kruger, Founder of Silvernode Games. “We set out to make the sort of game that we always wanted to get lost in. It’s been a real labor of love, and we can’t wait for players to step into our cat-filled world when the game launches in September.”
Players will interact with dozens of fully-voiced characters, hand-drawn scenes, and lots of puzzles as Cuddles Nutterbutter tries to find out how many things have to be licked in order to solve a murder in this town. Nine Noir Lives is described as a love letter to games like Grim Fandango and Broken Sword, with the upcoming title trying to build on everything that came before it. A lofty goal, but hey, it's better to have ambitions than to have none, eh?
If this sounds purr-fect to you, be sure to try out the demo that's currently available on Steam.
