It's been more than two-and-a-half years since the last Project CARS game launched on PC and consoles. Now, a third one is on the way and we finally know when we're going to get it: the Project CARS 3 release date has been set for later in Summer 2020.
Check out the Project CARS 3 Announce Trailer if you haven't seen it already and bask in all of the beautiful racing goodness:
On the off chance you're unfamiliar with this franchise, Project CARS sits firmly on the "simulation" side of the simulation vs. arcade sliding scale of racing games. The developers strive to make an authentic driving experience, but they also manage to make these vicious vehicles look jaw-droppingly beautiful, too. That said, Project CARS 3 is expected to lean more towards the arcade side of things compared to past entries in the series.
Project CARS 3 is featuring the return of many cars from previous games along with some new features. Skill-based matchmaking and new game modes including Quick Races and Scheduled Races are on the way for this upcoming game — and you'll be able to grab it in just a couple of months.
When is the Project CARS 3 Release Date?
Racing fans have no shortage of stuff to play these days, but I'm sure they'd be quite happy to get into something new. When is the Project CARS 3 release date?
Thankfully, you're not going to have to wait too long to play it. You'll be able to grab Project CARS 3 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One when it launches on August 28, 2020.
Still, that's two months of not racing super-fast cars, which is why you'll be happy to hear that Project CARS 2 is on sale on Steam starting at $8.99, a massive 85% discount. This deal ends in less than a day, so don't sleep on it!
