Indie developer Ozysoft has revealed Project Buramoto, a stunning new action platformer where players will fight creatures from Bornean mythology in a colorful, semi-open world.

Project Buramoto promises to provide players with a pretty entertaining experience through fast-paced, third-person action. This "magic-focused shooter" will have you running around the world and battling massive monsters that are inspired by the mythology of Borneo, a large island in Southeast Asia that is effectively shared between Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia. Check out the Project Buramoto Announcement Teaser to get your first look at this upcoming indie game!

The game's first teaser shows what is presumed to be the player character moving through the world. It really does appear to be a high-flying game — at one point, our hero does a triple jump over a massive chasm. The player is also joined by some kind of small floating companion, and we also see some cat people working in a village for a brief moment.

We don't get to see any combat just yet, but the trailer does reveal the sheer scale of the enemies. Gigantic, dragonfly-like creatures roam the skies. We also see a gigantic bird and a massive ox that's easily twice as tall as the player at one point, although it's unclear how these creatures fit into the narrative at this time.

When is the Project Buramoto Release Date?

The Project Buramoto release date will be sometime towards the end of 2022, although you won't have to wait that long to play it — Ozysoft plans to deploy a playable prototype in Q4 2021. A Steam page is coming soon and this game will be targeting a multiplatform release.

For now, you can check out Ozysoft's first game Pulang: Insanity on Steam; you can also play a free demo before you buy it. It's on sale for 45% off until August 23, 2021, at 1:00 PM Eastern. You can keep up with Project Buramoto's development by heading on over to its official website.
