Nihilumbra developer BeautiFun Games has announced its newest title. The new game is called Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets and it's coming to PC and Nintendo Switch this July.

Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets is another story-focused puzzle game from BeautiFun. The game casts you as the titular professor's personal intern. You're tasked with looking after the prof's pets, a collection of alien creatures who look docile when unthreatened but turn nasty when they're hungry. When a series of catastrophes strike the Aurora Space Station, you'll have to help get things under control and save the station. It's every intern for themselves! BeautiFun is promising "a heavy dose of humor with a suspenseful plot" in Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets. The game will offer over 100 levels, each of which will iterate on the game's central puzzle mechanics. You'll have to learn each alien type's individual behavior and use that knowledge to solve Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets' puzzles. BeautiFun says the game will offer over 12 hours of gameplay and that collectibles will add to its replayability.

The Switch version of the game will of course support all three of the console's modes: tabletop, TV, and handheld. You'll be able to switch between Joy-Cons, gamepads, and touch screen controls depending on your preference. On PC, you'll have a choice between point-and-click controls, keyboard mode, or the Steam controller. There's no mention of good old-fashioned controller support, but it'd be odd if the game didn't offer this feature.

You can check out a demo for Professor Lupo and his Horrible Pets right now on Switch and PC if you're on the fence. The game will launch for those platforms on July 11th.
