Japanese simulation game, Princess Maker 2 has been a long time coming to Western audiences since its initial 90’s launch in Asia. CFK Co, LTD had announced that an updated version of the game translated into English would be launching on Steam in early October. A surprise turn of events has made the game available today, moving the launch date up and removing the opportunity for pre-orders of the game.

The updated English version of the game is available to purchase on Steam now. Princess Maker 2 Refine has enhanced graphics including higher resolution full-color graphics.The game is fully voiced in Japanese and supports English, Korean and Chinese text as well. Complete with trading cards and other compatibility improvements the game is finally ready for English speaking players.
Developed by Gainax, creators of Neon Genesis Evangelion and Gurren Lagann, this simulation game was part of a series of titles that allows players to role-play a father raising his daughter in a magical kingdom. Choose between schooling, part-time jobs and social outings to raise your daughter into a fine young woman, triggering story events along the way depending on your choices. Players will also need to manage their finances and their child’s health in order to succeed.
Princess Maker 2 was considered the best of the franchise during its original release and although there had been plans to bring it West they were never realized. After waiting decades to play the game in English, Korean publisher CFK received so much interest in the game that they decided to speed up its release and make it available now. The game will cost $19.99 but a 20% discount lasting until October 5th makes it available for $15.99 on Steam.
