Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus will be released for the Nintendo Switch on June 29th.
The game was originally confirmed to be in the process of being ported to the Switch during a Nintendo Direct back in September 2017, along with id Software's DOOM reboot. The latter was released for the system in November 2017, marking the first time the Doom franchise appeared on a Nintendo console since 1997's Doom 64. The Switch release of Wolfenstein 2 will see the franchise making its way to Nintendo consoles for the first time since 1994's Wolfenstein 3D was released for the SNES.

The studio responsible for the Wolfenstein 2 port will be Austin, Texas studio Panic Button. Panic Button also previously worked with id Software on bringing DOOM to the Switch, so it's reasonable to expect a similar port for Wolfenstein 2. The Austin studio will be working closely with the game's original developers MachineGames as they did with id Software on DOOM. Panic Button has previous form when it comes to porting Switch games, too, as they worked with Psyonix to bring arena sports game Rocket League to Nintendo's handheld-home hybrid.
Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus was originally released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in November 2017. The game is a direct sequel to 2014's Wolfenstein: The New Order, and once again sees players take control of series protagonist BJ Blaskowicz. The rebooted Wolfenstein series takes place in the 1960s, in an alternate version of history in which the Nazis won World War II. Wolfenstein 2 sees BJ leading a ragtag band of rebels, some returning characters from the 2014 entry and some new characters, in an attempt to liberate America from Nazi rule. The Nintendo Switch version will contain the full, uncensored version of the original Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus's single-player campaign when it launches for the console worldwide on June 29th.
