Sega has opened up pre-orders for the upcoming open-world action game Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise. Digital pre-orders will come with a theme and avatar pack for your PS4, as well as a set of in-game talismans that confer buffs onto Kenshiro. If you're a fan of physical versions, first-print and pre-order copies will come with a pair of decals. Whatever your choice of pre-order, you can venture into the post-apocalyptic wastelands of Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise on October 2nd.

An alternate canon to regular Fist of the North Star universe, Lost Paradise pits Kenshiro against legions of lowlifes. Set to wander the wasteland in search of his love, Yuria, Kenshiro finds himself in the city of Eden. Teeming with all sorts of scum, Kenshiro can distract himself from the monotony of the thugs by running a struggling nightclub, serving drinks at a bar, performing acupuncture, or creating your very own dune buggy. You can later adventure out into the wastelands on the back of your dune buggy in search of resources and to complete sidequests.

What would a Fist of the North Star game be like without the iconic Hokuto Shinken techniques? Drawing on inspiration from the original manga series, Kenshiro obliterates enemies both inside and out with a diverse array of deadly moves. Both English and Japanese audio are included, so you can hear "You are already dead" in your language of choice. The localized version of Lost Paradise also comes with "more carnage," which presumably means less content is censored for the Western release.

Coming out of the Yakuza team at Sega, Lost Paradise is the first Fist of the North Star game to be released stateside in almost five years. Released earlier this year in Japan, the localization itself was trotted out by Sega at E3. While blending hard-hitting violence with lighthearted minigames is nothing new for the Yakuza team, seeing it applied to Fist of the North Star is nothing short of humorous. American fans of Kenshiro's story can get their hands on Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise on October 2nd.
