A sweet Metro Exodus poster makes for a neat incentive to pick up a physical pre-order for the game. A press release from Deep Silver states that a "Creatures of Post-Apocalyptic Russia" poster will be exclusively available to those who pony up the cash to get the game a little early in its physical version.
The poster (which you can see below) showcases 15 different creatures from 4A Games and Deep Silver's upcoming first-person shooter Metro Exodus. One or two may be immediately familiar to veterans of the franchise—I'm pretty confident #1 is a gargoyle—but the majority are brand-new creatures that have never before been encounter in a Metro game. Now you can get a pretty solid at look at what you'll be fighting against before you begin your adventure.
One special thing to note about this Metro Exodus poster is how it's divided up into seasons. The game will let players experience all four seasons for the first time in the franchise. (Well, outside of hallucinations/telepathy shenanigans, anyway.) The creatures you face in your travels aboard the Aurora will be dependent on which areas you're visiting and it's possible that the season may play a factor in that. (Do Gargoyles hibernate?) While the Aurora is a pretty beefy train, it seems like some of these larger creatures may very well prove an exceptional threat to even the beefiest of steam locomotives. I sure hope they brought the big guns with them.
This isn't the only bonus you'll get for pre-ordering, though. Here's how the press release breaks down the different versions:
• All Xbox One pre-orders, physical or digital include a copy of Metro 2033 Redux – the first game in the Metro saga, remastered for the Xbox One • All PlayStation 4 pre-orders, physical or digital, include a stunning Dynamic Theme based on the Metro Exodus ‘Winter’ artwork • All physical PC pre-orders and Steam pre-orders include a digital art book and the Metro Exodus OSTThe Metro Exodus poster will be available to those who pre-order the physical version of the game. You can find out where to buy it locally via the game's official website. Metro Exodus will release on February 15, 2019.
