Nintendo may finally be taking Pokemon, arguably one of their largest franchises, to the mobile market releasing a Pokemon TCG app. The ability to play the Pokemon TCG online has been around for a while on their official website but an iPad app is in the works. Though images have surfaced of the app there is no release date as of yet.
Earlier this week at the Pokemon World Championships in Washington, DC the following image was tweeted showing off the app in use.

A representative from The Pokemon Company has commented that while the app is in fact real that there is no release date yet to be announced. This is the first game that The Pokemon Company has planned for any iOS platform but if this goes well then we may start to see some of the main Pokemon adventure games coming to the platform too.
