The next installment in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series will be coming to the the 3DS family of systems in early 2016. The new title will be called Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon and promises more of the pocket monster RPG fun the series is known for. It will also be adding much more content to the dungeon delving game series when it launches.
The Pokemon Company International boasts that Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon will have "greater" randomly generated dungeons than previously seen. Players will be able to battle alongside Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. In fact there will be 20 different Pokemon players can choose from either to become or to be their partners.
All 720 Pokemon are included in Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. In a land only inhabited by Pokemon, players will explore randomly generated dungeons that are different each time you enter them. Aside from delving dungeons and battling with/as a Pokemon, players will unravel a story of adventure and mystery.
Screenshots of Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon from E3 reveal the protagonist turning into a Pikachu. Another image hints at a plot in which Pokemon are being turned to stone. In the game players can trudge through lava, swim in water and possibly even fly through the air.
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon will allow Pokemon fans to experience the world of Pokemon in a whole new way. The game is listed as a single player game and is not yet rated. Previous games in the series have included multiplayer modes and had an age rating of 3 and up.
More information about the game will be available closer to the release. Updates can be found on Nintendo's website.
If you could transform into a Pokemon, which would it be?
