The Pokemon Company revealed more details about the partnership with Japanese mobile gaming studio DeNA and their new mobile game, Pokemon Masters. Bringing together famous trainers and gym leaders from across all of the Pokemon games, it's unclear if this will be a pure battling game, or a "mobage," where players collect trainers and Pokemon.
The brief snapshot shown at the Pokemon Press Conference featured three-on-three battles, as well as some stylish moves from both Pokemon and the Trainers. Also, Brock's shirt explodes in sync with his Pokemon's moves. Almost no details were revealed about Pokemon Masters, with The Pokemon Company promising more details to come "soon." The release is slated for later this year, likely starting in Japan.
We'll update this as more information becomes available.
